Rudo, a “tribesfolk” boy in the slums, is wrongly accused of murder and cast into the abyss known as the Pit. There, he gains the power to animate discarded objects through “anima” via mysterious weapons called Vital Instruments. As he battles monstrous trash beasts and fights to expose the truth, he vows to overturn the oppressive hierarchy that condemned him.
